David Vander
Having started his career as a graduate trainee at James Capel, David developed his career in financing and has worked at JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers and Rabobank.
At JPMorgan, he helped build their securities lending activity in Europe along the lines of a mismatched ALM business. He moved to Lehman Brothers and was responsible for a number of financing and short end activities and ultimately for the financing of the FID of Lehman Brothers (Europe) as well as the trading of the short end.
He subsequently moved to Rabobank International and performed various functions in this wholesale division. Having helped establish the Short Term Interest Rates (STIR) business, he assumed responsibility for it becoming Treasurer of Rabobank International. Ultimately, he was asked to create a Group Treasury, with the mandate to develop a wholesale trading and distribution business to meet the risk management needs of the Rabobank Group Balance Sheet. As Group Treasurer, he was a member of the board overseeing Group Treasury and Group Treasury Support activities. In addition, he was a member of various Group committees, including those responsible for Balance Sheet and Risk Management, Country Limits and Credit for Financial Institutions.
David co-founded Liquidatum Ltd in November 2004.
